This robust Edge device for IoT is particularly well-suited for establishing medium-sized to wide area network coverage within industrial settings. Its exceptional deep indoor coverage capabilities make the WisGate Edge Lite2 an ideal solution for deployment in complex multi-story structures such as apartment buildings, expansive multi-level parking facilities, and large factories, ensuring consistent communication where it's needed most. The device boasts an intuitive out-of-the-box user experience, facilitating easy setup and diagnostics, complemented by comprehensive tutorials and technical documentation. Designed to complement Arduino's ecosystem, including MKR and Portenta SOM boards and the Arduino IoT Cloud platform, the Arduino WisGate Edge Lite2 empowers users to create and deploy complete, industrialized IoT/IIoT and Industry 4.0 applications. It features versatile connectivity options including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and LTE backhaul, along with 8 configurable LoRa® channels. The system runs on WisGateOS, a customizable OpenWRT-based operating system, and supports features like Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation, an SD card slot for backups and data logging, and an enclosure optimized for efficient cooling with options for wall or DIN rail mounting. This gateway effectively combines RAKwireless™’s specialized expertise with Arduino’s user-friendly approach to deliver high-quality solutions for connecting LoRa® devices in smart cities, logistics, and building automation.
