M5 Stack 1 to 3 HUB Unit HUB is a unit that is used in order to expand the GROVE ports over the M5Stack device. For example, if we want sensors with different I2C addresses or output to 3 devices at the same time. (M5Stack device usually can output one device at a time to limited amount of grove ports) Note: HUB is just a hardware expander, if you are looking for a hardware and software (standard protocol) expander like I2C, Single-bus, please check PaHUB or PbHUB. If you are connecting two I2C slave devices onto HUB that share the same address, you will have a problem getting I2C data from both. The I2C addresses of the devices must be different, they can be changed manually by changing the resistor values. Also check M5 Stack Solid State Relay Unit(BT136S) . The unit is a small, single-phase AC relay that can be controlled with a DC signal. It has built-in optocoupler isolation and overcurrent protection.

The Atom board provides an Infra-Red LED along with the 5 * 5 RGB LED matrix on the panel, a built-in IMU sensor (MPU6886), and an HY2.0 interface. A general-purpose programmable button is provided below the RGB Led matrix to enable users to add input support to their various projects. The onboard USB interface (Type-C) enables rapid program uploading and execution. One M2 screw hole is provided on the back for mounting the board. Note: When using FastLED lib, the recommended brightness of the RGB LED is 20. Please do not set it to a high brightness value to avoid damage to the LED and acrylic screen. M5 Stack COMMU Module Extend RS485/TTL CAN/I2C Port COMMU is a Muti-Communication-Interface-Converter. Integrated with 2 I2C, 1 TTL, 1 CAN, 1 RS485. Apparently, COMMU has packed with most of the series communications. Default connection: TTL - UART0, RS485 - UART2. Since the ESP32 pin map is allowed for re-assign, you can re-assign or re-mapping the TTL or RS485 interface to other pins. Be careful about TTL Interface. It is a UART Interface actually by default. But you can switch it to connect with UART2 after changing those jumpers(J6, J7, J9, J10).

The MCU is an ESP32 model D0WDQ6-V3 and has dual-core Xtensa® 32-bit 240Mhz LX6 processors that can be controlled separately. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are supported as standard and it includes an onboard 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, USB TYPE-C interface for charging, downloading of programs and serial communication, a 2.0-inch integrated capacitive touch screen, and a built-in vibration motor. M5Core2 also features a built-in RTC module that can provide accurate timing. The power supply is managed by an AXP192 power management chip, which can effectively control the power consumption of the base and built-in green LED power indicator helps to notify the user of battery level. The battery capacity has been upgraded to 390mAh, which can power the core for much longer than the previous model. The M5Core2 retains the TF-card(microSD) slot and speakers. However, in order to ensure higher quality sound output, the I2S digital audio interface power amplifier chip is used to effectively prevent signal distortion. There are independent power and reset buttons on the left side and bottom of the base. The 3 icons on the front of the screen are capacitive buttons that are programmable. There is a small expansion board on the back of the base with a 6-axis IMU sensor and microphone.
