16 channel PWM Servo Motor Shield for Arduino The 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Driver Shield is designed for development boards compatible with Arduino which will drive up to 16 servos over I2C with only 2 pins. You can use jumper wires to connect. The onboard PWM controller will drive all 16 channels simultaneously with no additional board compatible with Arduino processing overhead. What's more, you can stack up to 62 of them to control even more servo motors - all with the same 2 pins. This shield is perfect if you want to build a robot, perhaps a hexapod or a project that requires several components that require movement. It is also ideal in controlling many LEDs with precise PWM signal and perform microprocessors has a limited number of PWM pins. For these applications, the shield of servo-motors with a PWM driver is the product you are looking for. Using this shield, 16-pin PWM can be controlled with just 2 pins I2C interface. Applications: RGB or RGBA LED drivers LED status information LED displays LCD backlights Keypad backlights for cellular phones or handheld devices

Can I control more than 16 servos with this shield?
Yes, you can stack up to 62 shields on the same I2C bus to control up to 992 servos using just 2 pins.
Is this shield compatible with Arduino Uno and Mega?
Yes, it is fully compatible with all Arduino boards that support I2C communication, including Uno, Mega, Nano, and Leonardo.
What is the resolution of the PWM output?
The shield provides 12-bit PWM resolution (4096 steps), enabling precise control of servo position and LED brightness.
Do I need additional power for driving multiple servos?
Yes, for more than 3–4 servos, use an external 5V–6V power supply connected to the shield’s V+ terminal to avoid overloading the Arduino.
