A switched-mode power supply is an electronic power supply that incorporates a switching regulator to convert electrical power efficiently. Like other power supplies, an SMPS transfers power from a DC or AC source (often mains power) to DC loads, such as a personal computer, while converting voltage and current characteristics. Unlike a linear power supply, the pass transistor of a switching-mode supply continually switches between low-dissipation, full-on and full-off states, and spends very little time in the high dissipation transitions, which minimizes wasted energy. Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module V2 - 8MP 1080P30 The Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera V2 is the “night vision” version of the official camera board released by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. This Raspberry Pi Camera has no Infrared filter, which makes it perfect for taking Infrared photographs or photographing objects in low light (twilight) conditions! The Infrared Camera Module V2 (Pi NoIR) replaced the original Pi NoIR Camera Module in April 2016. This PiNoIR Camera module features an ultra-high quality 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 image sensor (up from 5MP on the V1 camera board), and a fixed focus camera lens. The V2 Picamera module is capable of 3280 x 2464 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p30, 720p60, and 640x480p90 video. The module attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of a 15 Pin Ribbon Cable, to the dedicated 15-pin MIPI Camera Serial Interface (CSI), which was designed especially for interfacing with cameras. The CSI bus is capable of extremely high data rates, and it exclusively carries pixel data to the BCM2835 processor.
