It is important to note that a thermistor's change in resistance is non-linear. It follows a pre-defined curve which is provided by the thermistor manufacturer.
Positive thermal coefficient (PTC) will increase in resistance with an increase in temperature, and negative ones (NTC) will decrease. But the formula in practice is not linear, so sometimes an accurate table of measurements is better than the linear formula.

The "10K" refers to its resistance value at a temperature of 25°C, which is 10,000 ohms. Thermistors are commonly used in temperature sensing and control applications because of their high sensitivity and fast response time. They are often preferred over other temperature sensors such as thermocouples and RTDs because they are smaller, cheaper, and easier to use. There are two main types of thermistors: negative temperature coefficient (NTC) and positive temperature coefficient (PTC). Thermistor temperature measurement is stable. The temperature measurement of the upgraded HT-NTC100K can be up to 350 degrees, can effectively replace the K-type thermocouple.
