HC-12 Module Wireless RF UART Communication Module The HC-12 wireless RF UART communication module is a next-generation wireless data transmission module for embedded systems. It operates on a radio frequency range of 433.4-473.0MHz and can be configured to use any of its 100 communication channels, with each channel having a step size of 400kHz. The module has a maximum transmit power of 100mW (20dBm) and can receive signals as low as -116dBm with a baud rate of 5000bps, providing a communication distance of about 500 meters. This Rf module is designed using a stamped hole encapsulation method, which makes it easy to weld. Its compact size of 27.4mm13.2mm4mm (including antenna seat but excluding the spring antenna) makes it convenient for embedding into the application system. The module comes with a PCB antenna seat ANT1, and users can also use an external antenna in the 433MHz band by connecting a coaxial cable. The HC12 Module also features an antenna welding hole ANT2 for attaching a spring antenna, giving users the option to choose the antenna type based on their requirements. The module is equipped with an MCU, eliminating the need for additional programming. Users can simply send and receive UART data using one of the four UART modes of FU1, FU2, FU3, or FU4, which have an average operating current of 3.6mA, 80?A, 16mA, and 16mA, respectively. The module also supports AT commands for UART transmission mode selection. The HC12 module is based on the SI4463 EZRadioPro family chip by SiLabs and offers an impressive wireless data transmission and reception range of up to 1 km in open air environments. The module is low power and very user-friendly. Features IEEE 802.15.4g compliant Frequency range = 119–1050 MHz Receive sensitivity = –126 dBm Serial TTL (RX, TX, GND) interface Modulation (G)FSK, 4(G)FSK, (G)MSK, OOK Max output power +20 dBm Low active power consumption 10/13 mA RX, 18 mA TX at +10 dBm Ultra low current powerdown modes 30 nA shutdown, 50 nA standby Data rate = 100 bps to 1 Mbps Fast wake and hop times Highly configurable packet handler TX and RX 64 byte FIFOs Auto frequency control (AFC) Automatic gain control (AGC) Low BOM Low battery detector FCC Part 90 Mask D, FCC part 15.247, 15,231, 15,249, ARIB T-108, T-96, T-67, RCR STD-30, China regulatory ETSI Class-I Operation with SAW Applications Replacing Bluetooth in short-distance data transmission areas Enabling wireless communication between two microcontrollers from a certain distance Transferring telemetry data from UAVs Wireless serial port communication Embedding into various application devices due to its stamp holes edge design
